Jul 22, 2021 · While recording and touring in the 80s and 90s might have been Haywire’s musical heyday, vocalist Paul MacAusland shared just how grand life has been, and still is, since settling into Newfoundland.
It all culminated for band members Paul MacAusland, David Rashed, Marvin Birt, Ron Switzer and Sean Kilbride in 2006 when Haywire received the Music P.E.I. Lifetime Achievement Award. Some people might take that as a sign the band’s career has reached an end.
Aug 18, 2021 · Paul MacAusland, the only lead singer Haywire has ever known, told the band he was unavailable for personal reasons and gave the group his blessing to move forward. MacAusland, who lives in Newfoundland and Labrador, is the only original member not currently living in P.E.I.
