Jun 5, 2017 · DM-3200/DM-4800 use the MCU protocol so it was only designed for basic DAW control. There is capability for MIDI control using the DM-3200/DM-4800 faders. Go fish around the Tascam forums for more info. There are a few YouTube videos that show how to do the MIDI mapping.
Additional rear panel connectors include connection for optional meter-bridge, cascade ports (supports two DM4800s), 4-expansion card slots, and USB 1.1 connector. The DM-4800 provides 24 groups/busses, 12 aux-sends, and 16 assignable inserts (in addition to the channel inserts on rear panel).
Nov 16, 2012 · I guess I should disable MIDI Port 3 on the Slave to avoid conflict? How does the remote layer work in a cascade scenario. Does it spread the first 32 DAW tracks across both consoles or is the remote layer mirrored on both ?
Aug 21, 2013 · Add a Mackie Control Extender and set it’s MIDI IO ports to Port 7 (or Control port 3) of the DM4800. The transport on the DM4800 should work all the time. The Faders and other functions work when the Layer Status on the board, to the right of the Stereo fader, is set to Remote.
