Jan 22, 2015 · It's a simple parts issue - the DM-4800 uses 4 DDMP chips, the DM-3200 uses 2. We have a limited number remaining, so the best busisness use for them is DM-3200s. If you are on good terms with your dealer, ask them to see if their distributor can get a DM-4800 that is still in stock elsewhere.
Jun 12, 2017 · My main complaint is that the screens go wiggy but can be replaced with a part order from Tascam. So check the screen!!! A company named "2Seemy" make a Graphics card so you can display your screen on an external monitor.
Mar 26, 2008 · It is a value for all you get, but for that price, you can find a used Otari Status, Neotek, D&R, Soundcraft. any one of those will have more balls and better imaging. Minus the controller and recall part.

Feb 7, 2007 · You won't regret updating to a DM 4800 Converters on DM3200/Dm4800 are much better than those on Dm 24. remote functions too. I do not use reverb or compression to mix, but for tracking internal rev is fine.
