What follows is the true story (give or take a few embellishments) as he told it to the film’s screenwriter, Charlie Peters, almost two decades ago. My mother was a star-struck girl from a little town in Arkansas, who had gone to finishing school in New York, and whose mother had given her anything she ever wanted.
Based on the true story of actor George Hamilton's early years, during which he accompanied his glamorous mother, Anne Hamilton Spalding, on an extended road trip across the country to track down her former boyfriends.
