Alice Friedmann (née Kohlmann; 1910–1991), known as Litzi Friedmann, was an Austrian communist who was the first wife of Kim Philby, a member of the Cambridge Five. Records identify her as the Soviet agent with the code name Mary.
She married Karl Friedmann in 1928 but the following year they were divorced and she returned to live with her parents. Like her parents she was a left-wing activist and in 1932 she was briefly arrested. it is believed that around this time she was recruited as a NKVD agent.
