Dead Set is the seventh live album (eighteenth overall) by the Grateful Dead. It was released in August 1981 on Arista. The album contains live material recorded between September and October 1980 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Another thing I love about this album is it’s part of a set: Dead Set is electric, Reckoning is the acoustic, and Dead Ahead is the video. All from the same run of shows.

"Dead Set" is a decent live album, though not as good as its brother "Reckoning", and a lot of the songs here would have sounded way better on an accoustic set such as "Friend of the Devil", "Candyman", and even "Samson and Delilah". Overall, it's alright, though it could have been a lot better.
