Feb 25, 2020 · The Goku Black arc of Dragon Ball Super is... it's a mess. Here are the ten most confusing aspects of it, explained.
- Lettuce Explain. Our final entry is another fun one wrapped up in all sorts of Easter eggs. Akira Toriyama is famous for using food puns to name his characters, and those ideas often manifest in the anime and manga.
- Fusion With Broly. Though the story of Zamasu and Goku Black ends with their destruction, Goku Black has one other fun Fusion form thanks to the game Dragon Ball: Fusions.
- Fusion with Future Zamasu. While normal Fusions create a super powerful version of two characters, Goku Black’s Fusion with Future Zamasu proves to be his undoing.
- Evil Containment Wave. For a long time, the Evil Containment Wave, or Mafūba, was used to help defeat some of the most powerful forces of evil. A way of sealing away demons in a containment device, Master Roshi’s teacher Master Mutaito once used the technique to trap the evil King Piccolo in an Electric Rice Cooker (because this is still anime, after all).
- Super Saiyan God - Power That Can Rival a God. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods & Dragon Ball Super Episode 9.
- Potential Unleashed (Ultimate Gohan) - Gohan Surpasses His Father. Dragon Ball Chapter 496 & Dragon Ball Z Episode 262. In addition to Super Saiyan 3, Dragon Ball Z's Buu Saga also introduced Gohan's signature "Potential Unleashed" form, better known as Ultimate Gohan.
- Super Saiyan 3 - Original Dragon Ball's Strongest Form. Dragon Ball Chapter 374 & Dragon Ball Z Episode 245. The next Super Saiyan transformation to appear in Dragon Ball Z was Super Saiyan 3 in the Buu Saga.
- Super Saiyan 2 - The Next Evolution of Super Saiyan. Dragon Ball Chapter 408 & Dragon Ball Z Episode 184. The first truly new Super Saiyan transformation was the appropriately named Super Saiyan 2.

- Final Judgment? The Ultimate Power Of An Absolute God - 8.4. After Vegeta and Goku nearly shut down Zamasu and Goku Black’s plan, they realize they can’t afford to play around anymore.
Goku Black states that his "the rage of the god" is what gave the Sickle of Sorrow form and continues to fuel its strength. Though its large size makes its attacks relatively slow, the giant slashes it launches are capable of tearing through spacetime itself and creating dimensional rifts.
