"Home Radio" is the forty-eighth live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the animated episode "Elvin Lives."
Mario and Luigi sit by the Radio listening to a polka and hear the voice of The Wonderfully Wacky Willy White. He announces the winners of a contest with the prize of being on the air with him. The winners are Mario and Luigi. Determined to take full advantage of their prize, the Mario Brothers decide that they'd better start practicing. The brothers practice for an extremely long time and lose their voices. Unfortunately, they discover that they don't have enough time to rest up before The Wonderfully Wacky Willy White comes to do the show with them.
In the morning they have their show with The Wonderfully Wacky Willy White but cannot speak very well. Willy White questions why they're so tired. They explain their situation and he claims that all they really had to do was be themselves. All the same, a call comes in from the station: the Marios are a hit! Unfortunately, they're both asleep and never hear the information.
