Florence Cestac (born 18 July 1949) [1] is a French cartoonist and former publisher. She is the first woman to have won the prestigious Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême, [2] in 2000, and was the only one until Rumiko Takahashi in 2019.

Florence Cestac. (b. 18 July 1949, France) Florence Cestac did artistic studies in both Rouen and Paris. She co-founded Bonbel, an artist collective in Rouen, and worked for the press group Filipacchi.
Artist & Scriptwriter. Florence Cestac was born in 1949 in Pont-Audemer, France. In 1965 she graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Rouen and three years later from the Applied Arts Academy in Paris.
