In December 1973, Hall married Herb Alpert. Together they have a daughter, actress Aria Alpert. The Alperts live on a 5.5-acre beachfront compound by the Pacific Coast Highway in West Malibu, which Herb Alpert acquired in the early 1970s. Hall is stepmother to Dore and Eden, children of Herb Alpert's first marriage to Sharon Mae (Lubin).

The lead singer was Lani Hall, Herb Alpert’s future wife. I marveled at her voice and sang along to “Mas Que Nada.”. She sang in Portuguese and English. Years passed and as an adult, I listened to Hall’s music as a successful Latin American recording artist from the late 1970’s to the early 1990’s, singing in Spanish.
Lani has the distinction of recording more than 22 albums in three different languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish), 4 alongside her husband since 1973, Herb Alpert, and in 1983, she sang the title song for the James Bond film, Never Say Never Again.
