They must answer the following questions in this step: 1. What does the title mean? 2. Why does the poet use such a title? 3. What can be inferred from the title of the poem?
Step Two: P – Paraphrase
In the second step of TPCASTT poetry analysis, students have to read the poem. To paraphrase means expressing the meaning of a poem using different words to achieve greater clarity.
