Ottawa ( / ˈɒtəwə / ⓘ, / ˈɒtəwɑː /; Canadian French: [ɔtawɑ]) is the capital city of Canada. It is located in the southern portion of the province of Ontario, at the confluence of the Ottawa River and the Rideau River.
