They have so many opportunities in these areas, but be prepared to work to get a clinic and be flexible about commuting. Also living in NYC is expensive.
Cardozo Law’s Field Clinic Program offers students unique opportunities to participate in the practice of law under the direct supervision of experienced mentor-attorneys. Students work with individual clients, assist with impact litigation, contribute to policy initiatives, engage in community legal education and support legislative advocacy.
The clinic focuses on the intersection of immigration and criminal law and on immigration enforcement issues. It provides deportation defense representation to individuals and represents community-based and national advocacy organizations on impact projects.
