The Canadian Museum for Human Rights ( CMHR; French: Musée canadien pour les droits de la personne) is a Canadian Crown corporation and national museum located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, adjacent to The Forks.
Giving human rights a home. In 2000, Israel Asper began to imagine a world‐class human rights centre for Canada. A few short years later, in April 2003, plans for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights were announced by Asper and his supporters.
