(One sensitivity is mapped to your regular drive settings and the other is mapped to the ECT button.) I was able to compare Stock vs Lite vs Mild vs Medium vs Spicy all inside of one week.
May 29, 2016 · Towing package. If you get the same mileage with 87 and 93, it's a no-brainer. 93 is average $0.40 more expensive/gallon, so in a full tank of 21 gallons that's around $8, which will buy around 3.5 gallons at the current price here in Georgia.

I've never been a big fan of buying higher octane fuels or vehicles that require them. I've been putting 87 octane in my new 19 that has presently 3,400 miles on it.
Jul 12, 2023 · According to Toyota, you should use unleaded, fuel with an octane rating of 87. Higher octane does not increase performance. Premium gas is not cleaner than regular gas. Fuel additives can be beneficial, especially for older Tacomas. Lower-than-recommended octane can cause engine knocking and valve chatter.

While lower octane ratings may be less expensive, they can negatively impact performance and fuel efficiency. Higher octane fuels may offer improved performance, but they are not necessary unless specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Dec 17, 2021 · Use 91. No need to make your engine constantly compensate for lower octane. But what really matters is using name brand fuels like Shell and Sinclair. Grocery store and bargain club brands aren't worth the cost difference given the poorer mileage and performance.
