Laurie is best known for his roles as Wilson Rogers in Spotlight (2015), Dr. Malloy in Dr. Cabbie (2014) and Abe Ford in Rookie Blue (2013). Laurie currently acts at the Stratford Festival Theatre in the musical comedy show Guys and Dolls.

    Laurie is also the father of Lachlan Murdoch who plays Henry Higgins.
