- The Fountain Room. Dress up. Wear the cocktail number or the cuff links. Get a blowout or a proper shave. Arrive early for a drink and ask the babysitter to stay late.
- Cheeky Bastards. Well-traveled chef and entrepreneur Robert Carmack already had a strong presence in Indy’s food scene as the founder of Indiana Pickle Co.
- Amara. Of all the local mid-pandemic restaurant openings of 2021, few impressed as much as Vinita Singh’s Aroma, located in the former Rook location in Fletcher Place.
- Julieta Taco Shop. Don’t let the size and straightforward approach of this long-awaited taco shop in The Stutz fool you. Esteban Rosas and Gabriel Sañudo’s tiny takeout taqueria, which opened in late July, pays homage to recipes of their ancestors, including Sañudo’s grandmother (who lent the shop its name), but their exacting approach to the humble fold is decidedly contemporary.

- Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants. 3815 E. 96th St., Indianapolis, chwinery.com. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner reservations, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a menu focusing on traditional Thanksgiving dishes including butternut squash soup; slow-roasted turkey; traditional stuffing; roasted green beans and carrots; potatoes; cranberry sauce; pumpkin praline cheesecake.
- Costa’s Grill. 1020 W. Main St., Greenfield, 317-318-2232, costasgrillindy.com. A $20 Thanksgiving dinner includes salad, roasted turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.
- Cracker Barrel. crackerbarrel.com. A turkey and dressing meal is being served Thanksgiving Day starting at 11 a.m.
