May 29, 2021 · TORONTO, May 29, 2021 — Dr. Adam Kassam became the 140 th president of the Ontario Medical Association today, the youngest president in the association’s history, the first physiatrist and first Ismaili Muslim.
Dr. Adam Kassam is Founding Executive Director of Health Innovation & Strategy at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is also the immediate Past President of the Ontario Medical Association, having served as the youngest in the association’s history while leading the profession during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adam is a community physiatrist in Toronto and serves as the Chair of the Section for PM&R at the OMA. He also serves on the Members Relations, Advocacy and Communications committee at the OMA.
