As a Studio Art major, you’ll have the flexibility to choose one or combine any of our seven disciplines: Ceramics, Fibres and Material Practices, Intermedia (Video, Performance, and Electronic Arts), Painting and Drawing, Photography, Print Media, Sculpture and Installation.
A 300-level Studio Art course must be completed prior to enrolling. Description: An installation studio course taught by faculty in the Painting and Drawing area that encourages students to create work in the context of an expanded field.
Through a series of courses in ceramics, drawing, fibres and material practices, intermedia (video, performance and electronic arts), painting, photography, print media, and sculpture, students increase their awareness of what constitutes creativity and understanding of the aesthetic and intellectual aspects of art today.
