The Cost-of-Attendance Budget represents the estimated cost to attend Virginia Tech for one academic year. The tuition, fees, housing, and food components of the estimated Cost of Attendance (COA) represent an estimated amount of charges that will be present on a student’s billing statement.

The amount of the surcharge for academic year 21-22 is $369.50 per credit hour. Established by the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia, it is equal to 100% of the Average Cost of Education for the institution less tuition and mandatory Educational and General Fees for in state undergraduates.
