J: Beyond Flamenco is a 2016 Spanish musical film directed by Carlos Saura. It was selected to be screened in the Masters section at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.
Synopsis. Carlos Saura allows us to experience the joy and strength of the dance and music of “la Jota”. As in “Flamenco”, “Tango” or “Fados”, “Jota” has evolved from a millennial traditional music and dance, to new artistic dimensions.
