Jan 24, 2024 · For first-time campers, Backus said day camp programs are “ideal” while overnight camp is good for campers who are ready to “grow and become more self-reliant.” Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers various day camps for campers ages 3 to 8 throughout the summer.
- The camp is offered at the following locations: OhioHealth Chiller Dublin - 7001 Dublin Park Drive, Dublin. OhioHealth Chiller Easton - 3600 Chiller Lane, Columbus, OH 43219.
- Camp Lionheart. Camp Otyokwa, Hocking Hills | July 14-20. Camp Lionheart is a free, week-long, overnight grief camp for children and teens in Ohio ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver.
- City of Columbus. Community centers in Columbus offer themed, week-long camps for youth ages 6-12. Campers experience many activities including, but not limited to, arts, crafts, sports, games, science experiments and nature exploration.
- Columbus Academy. This camp varies from track & field with Ohio State athletes to Broadway and everything in between. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for all programs.

Kids can enjoy an immersive outdoor experience at the Conservatory through the summer camp program. Park authorities split the campers by age grades to tailor each program to fit each child’s need. The youngest campers, 3-4, learn about dinosaurs, mythical garden animals, rainbows, plants, along with other fun topics.
