This is an extremely rewarding hike with phenomenal views of Moraine Lake, Consolation Lakes and the Larch Valley - best attempted during the summer months when there is minimal ice and snow. There is no real trail at higher elevations, and there are no switchbacks.

The Tower of Babel is a unique rock formation that stands out amongst Mount Babel and the Valley of the 10 Peaks at Moraine Lake, in Banff National Park. It's different because of its towering shape much like the Biblical Tower of Babel and is rated difficult to climb.
Want to scramble up a mountain but not spend a whole day on the trail? Hiking the Tower of Babel is probably your best option. Not far from the famous Moraine Lake, this tower is just as popular for scramblers and climbers alike. This short scramble with big rewards is my favourite near Lake Louise.

While many make it to the rockpile and call it a day, there are plenty of other, longer trails to explore.
