  2. Nice boardwalk along waterfront in Washington, North Carolina. We parked in a public parking lot next to the waterfront and walked along the very nice, wide boardwalk. We walked by the visitors center which looked closed for the day (December 27, 2022).

  3. You will see huge loblolly pine trees, huge waterfront live oaks, palmettos, and get to explore a unique swamp. There is a long boardwalk through the swamp and it is absolutely beautiful and full of life. We saw 8 snakes while on our trip, and it was exciting to see them in the wild.
