The Goose Lake School District was #1283 and was established by the Municipality of Shell River on March 18, 1904, which is one year after the railroad was built through what is now Roblin. The school was put up on a corner of the Scott family farm, near the present town site.
Roblin is the second largest centre within Mountain View School Division and is home to two schools. Goose Lake High School. Along with the required core subjects, Goose Lake High School offers a generous variety of electives for both academic and vocational areas, such as Power Mechanics, Metalwork Technology and Woodworking.

It later became known as Goose Lake Collegiate Institute, predecessor to the present high school in Roblin. A new building for grades 9 to 12 was constructed in 1960 and it opened as Roblin Collegiate Institute on 27 January 1961.
