My favorite place to buy yarn, and fiber for spinning, is Young’s Jersey Dairy’s Annual Wool Gathering. It rolls around every September and is a bit of a trek, but is 100% worth it. So not super helpful for you today but I would suggest you attend next year if you can. 4.

All the Woolworth's stores had one, and I think it was just called the lunch counter. I grew up going to the one in Northland Mall, but we called it the Dimestore - I guess by the '70s nothing was sold for five cents anymore so they ditched that part of the name :)
