Frenchay Village Museum is free admission but is only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays at certain times and its wealth of local history including what was Frenchay Hospital and the Fry's factory in Keynsham is fascinating.

Frenchay is a village and suburb of Bristol, in the south of Gloucestershire, to the north-east of the city centre. An adjacent suburb is Frenchay Park. The name of Frenchay was first recorded in 1257 as Fromscawe and later as Fromeshaw: the name means 'the wood on the Frome'.
