The Caltech History & Architectural Tour Service (CHATS) is a CWC community service. Docents have been giving architectural tours of the campus since 1985. Any member of the Caltech Women's Club (CWC) can join. All you need is an interest in the campus and some flexible time.

Oct 19, 2023 · Discover how the original academic buildings and high-tech laboratories of Caltech, one of the world's foremost institutions of science and engineering, created an architectural footprint that relates to the surrounding community.
The group was renamed CHATS (Caltech History and Architectural Tour Service) in 2018 and guides continue to prepare their tours through a process of independent study, on-site practice and mentoring by experienced docents.
Tours begin at 10:30 a.m., starting from the entrance to the Athenaeum at 551 South Hill Avenue, on the corner of Hill Avenue and California Boulevard. No tours are given during June, July, August, or December. Advance reservation information available here. 2024-2025 Tour Schedule. Sep. 26, 2024.
