Camberwell (/ ˈ k æ m b ər w ɛ l / KAM-bər-wel) is an area of South London, England, in the London Borough of Southwark, 2 + 3 ⁄ 4 miles (4.5 kilometres) southeast of Charing Cross. Camberwell was first a village associated with the church of St Giles and a common of which Goose Green is a remnant.

- Take a scenic stroll around leafy Burgess Park. One of South London’s most beloved parks, Burgess Park boasts a mahooosive 56 acres of wide open space and landscaped gardens – which means it’s Southwark’s largest park.
- Get your Chinese food fix at the legendary Silk Road. This unassuming spot is one of South East London’s best-kept secrets. It’s a fairly small and simple Chinese restaurant – decked out in long wooden tables – but the food here is to die for.
- Chill out and watch some jazz at The Crypt. Another one of the best things to do in Camberwell is watching a jazz show at The Crypt – a subterranean live music venue under the magnificent St. Giles Church.
