So from what I've been able to gather, a bunch of stuff changed since the Bedrock update. Last time I played on PS4 was pre-bedrock. Nov 18, 2011 · It would be nice to have it on my work PC (for lunch breaks of course :D) but the internet is filtered (to the point where I can't play Hearthstone), so I guessed that it won't let me be online for Minecraft. I don't want to buy it and find out I can't play it.
The items were still there, you just had to switch back to online, but for whatever reason your inventory changed between online and offline. I would suggest you empty your inventory into a chest before you load the game on a different setting to be safe. IamI3rian 10 years ago #4. If you're playing online you can't pause.

I can also confirm connection not required. It asks you to sign in, but there's a "nope" option (CAUTION: I'm drunk, it doesn't actually say "nope", but you know what I mean) that starts the game up normally and lets you play offline. Obviously no online if you're not online, but that should go without saying.
Yes you can play offline and it is rather fun, though I find it gets rather bland after awhile so I suggest that you set yourself some goals and work towards them, personally I have a map that I cheat in to make bigger stuff, a Map that I play as a nomad on and a regular no cheating map where I just play normally

The game won't let you unless you have: 1) A HDTV, 2) A HD cable to connect the system to the tv, 3) the system needs to be set for HD mode in the settings (720p or higher), 4) the world has be set to offline mode for silver level players to join, if online everyone must have a gold account. May 7, 2012 · If you buy the real version and play offline, you'll just lose whatever special skin you put on. I play offline all the time and I never see this text you are talking about. That text used to be there back in beta, but they removed it. You can play 100% offline after you login at least once online with your account.
But you can mod the game to do it. First, start Minecraft. Then select Play, pick your world, and set it to offline. Disconnect all your controllers except the first one and yell the magic words "I hate my friends" while your map loads. If you did it correctly, then you'll be in a single player version of offline.
