First find a hill or mountain on the same level the oceans/rivers are. Dig in the mountain/hill at that SAME level. Make a room on the level with chests/furnaces/crafting tables. Once you do that, make a stairway DOWN 52 levels (there should be 52 stairs). Then start mining in random non-geometric shapes. I found a vein of 5 diamonds doing this.

Well, to find lots of those shiny blue pieces of ultimate Minecraft underground heaven, you could do grid-mining at Y=5, just be careful to avoid lava lakes, which seem to be common at Y=6-7. Do this by mining a big room, at least 20 by 20 blocks, at least 2 blocks tall. Then, dig around, every 2 blocks on the wall of the room, or "base".

For now im just digging two blocks high tunnels at y= 11 every two blocks but i feel theres gotta be a better way right lol . P.S Realy need those diamonds x.x

Mar 16, 2023 · Caving is effective with an iron pickaxe, however since 1.18 diamonds spawn in lower quantities if exposed to air. Cave until you have 5 diamonds (3 works, but 5 is ideal) and craft a diamond pickaxe and an enchantment table. Efficiency is the most important enchantment to get, but others such as fortune and unbreaking would also be good.
