Property taxes are paid for personal AND commercial properties, among other things. 20% increase to your $3,000 in property taxes- ouch $600 hurts a bit. Now imagine a business paying $100,000 a year in property taxes having to pay an extra $20,000!
Hall seems to own a lot of great properties in desirable areas of Regina. I went looking recently, and he showed me about a half dozen that were all lovely, but sitting empty. Spoke to several realtors while I was in town, and all had to bite their tongues very hard when mentioning his name.
