On June 2, 2024, Ontario’s Ministry of Health made changes to provincial COVID-19 reporting systems and requirements. As a result, York Region’s COVID-19 dashboard will be temporarily paused until the Fall 2024 respiratory season. York Region Public Health will continue to monitor COVID-19 activity and share pertinent information with health care professionals and the public as necessary.

York Region Transit fare changes are coming July 1, 2024. In December 2023, York Regional Council approved the 2024 budget which includes a 3 per cent annual York Region Transit (YRT) fare increase effective on July 1, 2024. This is the first fare increase since 2019 and will help to address the rising costs of running the transit system.
