May 21, 2012 · Mark Blumes founded Mark’s Work Wearhouse in 1977 after being fired from the Hudson’s Bay on account of his anti-establishment tendencies and frustrations with what he saw as his employer’s mishandling of its work-wear department (“He was not a ‘corporate guy,’” says Moe, wryly).
