  1. Lady Margaret Hall (LMH to students) was founded in 1878 as the first women’s college in Oxford, and is one of the University’s younger colleges. It started accepting male students in 1979. The College is set on the River Cherwell and is well known for its elegant gardens.

Most recently Professor of the Practice of Statistics at Harvard University, Professor Blyth graduated from Christ’s College Cambridge as 3rd Wrangler in the Mathematical Tripos and obtained his PhD in Statistics from Harvard.
