(fn. 320) The advowson belonged to Shaftesbury abbey until the Dissolution (fn. 321) and, except in 1298 and 1341 when the pope collated (fn. 322) and in 1362 when the king presented because the abbey was vacant, (fn. 323) abbesses presented the rectors.
