Christopher Alan Young (born June 12, 1985) is an American country music singer, songwriter. In 2006, he rose to fame after winning season four of the reality singing competition program Nashville Star . After winning, he was signed to RCA Records Nashville, releasing his self-titled debut album that same year.

Christopher attended Hampshire College in Massachusetts where he studied a Bachelor of Arts in music and then completed his post-graduate work at North Texas State University. In 1980 Young moved to Los Angeles where he was a jazz drummer.
