Gremlins 2: The New Batch is the second film in the Gremlins series. It was released on June 15, 1990 by Warner Bros. Pictures, and is a sequel to the 1984 film Gremlins. A prequel series called Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai began airing in 2023.
The Gremlins are back, and this time, they've taken control of a New York City media mogul's high-tech skyscraper. Having survived the destructive Kingston Falls Incident in Gremlins (1984), Billy and Kate move to New York City, eager to wipe the slate clean and start afresh.
Gremlins 2: The New Batch is the 1990 sequel to Gremlins, again directed by Joe Dante. Gizmo is still living in Mr. Wing's old shop in Chinatown, New York when his keeper dies. The place is immediately demolished by the local Clamp corporation and Gizmo captured by a pair of scientists who operate out of the Clamp skyscraper.
