Aug 24, 2007 · Alyssa soon adjusts to island life and discovers the gift she shares with her father for communicating with dolphins. It is a skill that leads her into a powerful relationship with a wild dolphin, which her father, for legitimate scientific reasons, cannot condone.
But when the powers-that-be threaten to close down her father's dolphin research facility, it is Alyssa and her wild cetacean friend who hold the key.
After her mother’s death, troubled 14-year-old Alyssa is sent to live with her estranged father at his dolphin research lab in the Bahamas, where she takes refuge in the sea animals and discovers her innate gift for communicating with them.
Fourteen-year-old Alyssa and her grandmother travel to find her estranged father, a dedicated dolphin researcher in the Bahamas. Upon arriving, they discover that he is fighting to save his research center.
