If the problem is that it won't shift when in drive then it means your transmission control unit is failing, which means it also likely won't send the signal properly when using paddles even if it "kind of works". Get your transmission fixed before it finishes breaking and you end up on the side of the road somewhere.

I disconnected the battery, followed 3 different videos but when I got it all back together, I got the following errors: Shift System Fault, Hill Climb Assist Disabled, and Service Due Soon (orange wrench).
