I configured mine yesterday, but realized that, even with the gain knob completely turned to the left side, i still have sound on that input. When i start to raise the gain of the pre, i quickly hit peak volume.

   5 days ago · Re: Tascam DA-30 mkII Problems. If you took the tray out to replace the belts like I did the problem lies in a connection. Once you have the tray back in place look at the connection to the circuit board down and to the left of the tray mechanism (if the machine is facing you). In my case that connection pulled away when I pulled up the tray.
