Jun 24, 2023 · Either the drivers for your 7840HS or 7940HS are OEM processors thus not listed or supported by AMD or those APU mobile processor are still too new and AMD hasn't updated the AMD download page. Not sure if AMD is now supporting all of its OEM Processors with drivers or not.

After they were crash city I went down to the WHQL 21.5.2 drivers and it's still the exact same thing - my card is an RX470 8GB btw. Mar 8, 2022 · NOTE: If your Acer Support has really out-dated Graphic drivers than use AMD generic basic Graphic driver. But it is always recommended to use your Laptop Support drivers rather than 3rd party drivers for a laptop. AMD mobile generic laptop driver most of the time won't show the exact GPU model in Device Manager.

Dec 18, 2019 · Guide it to the AMD Folder that was created when you cancelled the installation program at C:\AMD or when you unpacked it using 7-Zip. No need to guide inside the AMD folder. Device Manager will automatically scan the entire folder for the appropriate driver and install it with the minimal related software if applicable like Radeon Settings.
