FOURTH - (host/client setup) On the client device, run Moonlight and enter your host IP - if this doesn't work for some people, try your host IPv4 or the Moonlight Internet Hosting Tool IP, e.g., 100.40.20.1:47989. :47989 is the Sunshine port. It will prompt a pin, and enter this in the Sunshine pin tab. Everything should be set and connected now.
So far, it's still lagging behind gamestream when I tried it again the other week. I get a 1ms delay with 0ms change when streaming from my PC to my ipad over ethernet (10Gbit on my PC. 1Gbit ethernet on my ipad). With Sunshine, it's always at 3-5ms and has some choppiness to the video. this is streaming 1440p. It's even worse streaming 4k.
Do you have a great Moonlight streaming setup from PC to TV, with no input lag and stutter? If so, can you please share the following details: TV specs and settings (i.e. game mode, etc) PC specs (processor, GPU) PC LAN connectivity (wired vs wireless) PC running GeFroce Experience or Sunshine? Resolution and framerate setup for streaming
Jan 28, 2024 · Next, you'll want to set the CPU priority of moonlight.exe to "Realtime". This will prioritize all socket connections going to moonlight over any other programs. To do so, launch the moonlight app then open Task Manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc) then under "Details" find "moonlight.exe". Right click it then "Set Priority" to "Realtime".
I have (what I think) is a unique question that I'm wondering if anyone has addressed or can help me figure out. I'm running Sunshine and Moonlight both on Window's PC's. I'm using a virtual monitor for streaming on the server. The client is connected to a color-calibrated television.
Your comparison to Netflix is apt - the Moonlight client does stream more like Netflix. But there's no reason Moonlight & Sunshine couldn't take into account the network latency of streaming frames to take advantage of VRR on the client monitor. Perhaps it already does so. None of this is complicated in theory.

Jul 19, 2023 · I have a Raspberry Pi 4, 8GB model, but testing Moonlight on it revealed the device has abysmal Wi-FI connectivity (my PC is measuring 139mbps, my Pi is only getting 9mbps) and while it works, the games are coming through looking bad, having massive latency issues, and disconnecting.

Oct 20, 2022 · Hi I just got a steamdeck and am trying to get moonlight to find my PC. My PC is connected via LAN Cable as it doesn't have a wifi adapter and I am unsure if that is the issue. I have followed tutorials to ensure it is set up correctly but no one states if the LAN cable to wifi connection is the issue or not
