Jul 3, 2015 · 68 upvotes. Canada. NO , they won't know as NO one is going to tell them that. The CBSA doen't go around telling EI what you do , just for the sake of it. Just bcoz you are unemployed and On EI , doesn't mean you can't take vacations.
Dec 16, 2021 · In all honesty…..claims don’t get deactivated due to a lack of reporting in only 2 weeks. You must be quite behind on your reports. You have 5 weeks to complete reports and still be considered “on time”, so you must’ve went passed that window for it to have stopped you from completing it.
If you have not already done so, you must call the Telephone Reporting Service at 1-800-531-7555 Monday to Friday during business hours to speak to a representative" So I called them on a thursday at around 1pm and the voice just says "sorry we are closed" which i thought was odd and wanted to find more information on their hours online but only could find they are open 830am - 430 pm local time!

If the job doesn't work out for whatever reason, you can go back to claiming EI. It isn't technically full-time until you're past that period (whatever province you are in). PSA: From personal experience, there seems like there is two tiers of service Canada employees right now, the original EI employees, and ones whom were transferred over to support EI. The callback from this link seems to be from the support workers. They are extremely helpful but may not be able to help with specific EI related questions.
Jan 8, 2021 · If they ask for the first two, then it's actually service Canada. It's 100%legit. The rule I follow is. "If anyone is asking for money then it is 90% likely it is not legitimate". Yes legit. I got a call and and email. Probably you got assigned to an agent to check back with you.
Oct 19, 2021 · I just went to fill my weekly EI report and it says "We cannot accept your report because our records show that you do not have an active claim for benefits". I really don't think my EI claimable weeks are done because I am seasonal and I have never had this happen and always have many weeks left every time I return to work.
