May 27, 2021 · Chevron premium is still listed at the pumps at 94 octane but when I had to fuel up at Shell a couple weeks ago, their top rated fuel jumped from 91 to 93. My understanding is that they also no longer sell any grade of ethanol free fuel.

You can purchase a Petrospec GS1000 which we have that gives fairly good results. Usually the results are accurate to +/- 1.5 octane numbers.
