The House of the Dead, also referred to as Curien Mansion, is a horror-themed light gun shooter video game franchise created by Sega in 1997. Originally released in arcades, it utilizes a light gun on the platform, but can be played with standard controllers on consoles and a mouse or keyboard on home computers.
The House of the Dead is a first-person light gun arcade game, released by Sega in Japan on September 13, 1996, and later internationally on March 4, 1997. It is the first game in The House of the Dead series.
