The Last Unicorn is a 1982 American animated fantasy film directed and produced by Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass, from a script by Peter S. Beagle adapted from his 1968 novel of the same title.
A unicorn sets out to find out if she is the last of her kind in this adaptation of Peter S. Beagle's novel. The film features the voices of Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury and Christopher Lee, and a score by Jimmy Webb.

The Last Unicorn is a fantasy novel by American author Peter S. Beagle and published in 1968, by Viking Press in the U.S. and The Bodley Head in the U.K. It follows the tale of a unicorn, who believes she is the last of her kind in the world and undertakes a quest to discover what has happened to the other unicorns.
The Last Unicorn. Believing herself alone in the world, a unicorn hears word there may be others alive. On her journey she befriends a novice wizard and a servant, they help to hide her from the red bull that was responsible for the unicorns disappearance.
But one day overhears passing hunters grumbling that they must be in the forest of a unicorn (“Creatures that live in a unicorn’s wood learn a little magic of their own in time, mainly concerned with disappearing”) and that this unicorn must be the last one in the world.
