Mar 16, 2023 · Alva Noto has a new album on the way through his own NOTON label. Titled Kinder Der Sonne, the 14-track record takes in music that the German producer, real name Carsten Nicolai, composed for a 2021 theatre piece, Komplizen, by Swiss writer and director Simon Stone.
It's always a pleasure around these parts to get an album from Carsten Nicolai as Alva Noto, and 'Kinder der Sonne' is no exception. Composed as the score for Simon Stone's theatre piece ‘Komplitzen', it stands alone as a deeply immersive, absorbing ambient soother in its own right.
