Francis Albert De Martini (March 31, 1952 – September 11, 2001) was an American architect employed by the Port Authority of New York, the agency that managed the World Trade Center. He perished when the North Tower collapsed on September 11, 2001 .

Francis “Frank” DeMartini. Frank was the World Trade Center’s construction manager. Initially hired to assess the damage caused by the 1993 attack, Frank soon fell in love with the World Trade Center and stayed with the Port Authority, overseeing the day to day maintenance, planning and modification of the buildings.
Frank, and his colleagues Pablo Ortiz, Carlos da Costa, and Peter Negron saved the lives of 77 people that day, as well as freeing some others who eventually perished. The last member of the impromptu rescue crew was Mak Hanna, who survived due to carrying an elderly man down from the 89th on De Martini’s instructions.
