The Ox ( Swedish: Oxen) is a 1991 Swedish drama film directed by Sven Nykvist. Collaborating with Lasse Summanen, Nykvist penned the screenplay adapted from the 1981 novel Oxen by Siv Cedering . The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 64th Academy Awards in 1992. [1]
